Special Needs Care

In this field, the foundation offers unique and various services. The goal of providing special support to people with special needs is to compensate for the lack of governmental and public services for this group of Egyptians. The foundation has two notable experiences in this area.

First Experience

Second Experience

The foundation successfully obtained official approval to enroll its deaf and mute students (sign language speakers) in colleges that match their abilities, in August 2015. Ten students involved in the foundation's activities enrolled in Egyptian universities, including faculties like Special Education, Arts, and more.
The foundation helped one of its beneficiaries, Mrs. J J, obtain prosthetic limbs after an accident that resulted in the loss of both her arms. With the new limbs, Jihan became more capable of taking care of herself, playing with her daughter, and living normally as she did before the accident. The purpose of giving more attention to individuals with special needs is to work on integrating them into society as productive, talented, and active people. Moreover, it aims to help them see themselves in a better light and overcome their disabilities, whether physical or mental.

Prosthetics

This field is very rare in Egypt, and unfortunately, there are not enough financial and human technical resources to establish a center to serve cases needing prosthetic limbs. However, in the case of Mrs. J, through cooperation with individual contacts abroad, the foundation managed to secure financial and medical support from doctors of the San Francisco Bay Area Organization for Mrs. J and her family for rehabilitation in the United States.

The foundation was able to help Mrs. J live a normal life after losing her arms in a bus accident in Egypt. Now, she lives happily, able to perform daily tasks, and she even plays sports with her daughter.
